💬 Step 2 of 9

Open Claude & Invoke the Skill

Start a new conversation and activate the builder

CLAUDE Hello! I’m the PDI Brew App Builder. Let me ask you a couple of things to get started:
1. What would you like to call your project? (used as the app URL slug)
2. How should access be controlled?
A — Create a new M365 group (recommended)
B — Use an existing group I own
C — Already registered — you already set this up on the PDI Brew site
🔒 Step 3 of 9

Choose Your Access Control

Pick how your team will access the app

A
Create a new M365 group Recommended

Auto-creates pdibrew-{name} group. Manage members directly in Outlook or Teams.

B
Use an existing group

Reuse an M365 group you already own. Useful when you have an existing team or department group.

C
Already registered

You already set this up on the PDI Brew site. Claude will use your saved group settings.

✍ Step 4 of 9

Describe What You Want

Be specific — Claude builds exactly what you ask for

I need a tracker for team training completions with a status dashboard
CLAUDE Got it! Here’s a preview of your training tracker:
App preview
Employee Training Status Date
Sarah K. Health & Safety ✓ Done Apr 12
James L. Data Privacy Pending Apr 20
Priya M. Health & Safety Overdue Apr 5
Ask for changes! “Make the header blue”, “Add a filter by department”, “Show a summary count at the top” — iterate until it’s exactly what you need.

Manage Your App's Data

Two platform paths — read-only inspection on the web, full CRUD via Claude

🔍
Manage Apps → View Data
Sign in to PDI Brew → Manage Apps → pick your app → click View Data. A read-only data table loads inline. Best for quick inspection without opening the app.
🤖
PDI Brew Data connector in Claude.ai
Conversational queries, single edits, and bulk imports across all your apps in one chat. Ask Claude things like “show me records in expense-tracker”, “add a new entry”, or “import this CSV”. Continue to the next step for setup.
Both paths are owner-scoped. Only you (the deployer) can view or edit raw data — group members use the app but can't access these data paths. PDI Brew Admins can override for support.
🔗 Step 9 of 9

Connect Claude.ai to Your Data

One-time setup gives you 8 tools across all your apps in any chat

mcp.pdi-brew.dev.platform.pditechnologies.com/mcp/pdi-brew-data
1️⃣
Add the connector
Claude.ai → Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Paste the URL above (use your environment's MCP URL).
2️⃣
Sign in via Okta
Click Connect → sign in with your PDI Okta credentials. Claude.ai stores the token; ownership is enforced server-side.
3️⃣
Ask Claude in any chat
“List my PDI Brew apps”, “show me all records in expense-tracker”, “import these 50 employees from this CSV”, “find approvals over $500”. Claude calls the right tool.
What you get: 8 tools — listApps, describeApp, scan, getItem, putItem, deleteItem, batchWrite, query. Each call is owner-scoped to apps you deployed. Read calls are safe; write calls always ask for your approval.
